Description
Summary:Training effectiveness study was conducted in North Gondar Zone in 2013. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of different technology-based trainings provided to rural farmers on the basis of indicator outcomes (knowledge, skill, confidence and commitment). The finding of this study revealed that the level of awareness, knowledge, and skills of participating farmers have improved on various technical subjects. Although technical effectiveness of trainings is better in terms of knowledge improvement and job performance and average in confidence and skill improvement, there is an urgent need for skill development of farmers who are looking for alternative improvement options in the quality of training. Recommendations include need based hands-on training and establishing functional farmers training centres.
