Summary:This study relates to members of Tribal women Self Help Groups (SHGs) from Sakri and Shirpur talukas of Dhule district in Maharashtra state (India). It is about their training needs for agricultural development. Agriculture is their major source of income and work. For purpose of study, 10 SHGs from both the talukas and five members from each SHG that is total 100 respondents were selected using simple random sampling method. The analysis of training needs revealed that the members are not fully conscious about the SHG concept, latest crop production and marketing technology. Almost three fourth members prioritized their training needs in all the aspects of SHG orientation. More than three fourth respondents showed interest in knowing production techniques of turmeric (80 percent), cotton (85 percent), chili (78 percent) and onion (76 percent). Marketing of produce attained the top most priority (80 percent) in analysis of training needs. Training on organic farming is important for these members.
